In spring 2012, a new design on GPLink WAS born. The new design has been designated GPLink 2.0 and is similar to its older “siblings” tested according to EN 1317-2 in capacity class N2. The new design is primarily intended for permanent installations as well as the median barrier as a side barrier.
The new GPLink 2.0 is designed to be improved winter characteristics. There is no “feet” that stand out and can be a problem for the snowplow. Even the MC people have expressed their appreciation over GPLink 2.0 that have smooth surfaces against road and no one would get caught. GPLink 2.0 is 6 meter long.
SMC’s secretary general , Jesper Christiansen, hope the Transport Administration set up the system in a place with many motorcycles so that it appears that they are working on the issue.
